About Tree Service Encinitas

Tree Service Encinitas is a local referral service, not a tree company. When you call (760) 452-0070, you talk to someone who asks what is going on with your tree, then connects you with a licensed, insured crew that already works in Encinitas and the surrounding coastal communities. We do not own a chipper and we do not climb anything ourselves. Our job is making sure the right people show up at your address instead of the wrong ones.

How Does This Referral Service Work?

You call or fill out the form on this site, and we ask a few questions: what the tree is doing, where it is on the property, whether it is near a structure or a power line. That gets passed along to a crew that covers your part of Encinitas. From there, they handle scheduling the estimate and doing the actual work, the cutting, the rigging, the cleanup. We stay out of the truck. If you have used a referral service for a plumber or a roofer before, this works the same way.

Why Insist on Licensed and Insured?

A crew working forty feet up in a eucalyptus, or lowering a section of trunk next to your roof on a rope, is doing work that gets expensive fast when something goes wrong and nobody is covered for it. California requires a contractor's license for tree work above a certain size, and a legitimate outfit carries general liability coverage and workers' compensation for its climbers. Ask to see both before anyone starts a chainsaw on your property, whether you found the crew through us or on a flyer stuck to your door.

What About Certifications?

The tree industry has a real credential worth asking about: certification through the International Society of Arboriculture, usually shortened to ISA. An ISA Certified Arborist has passed an exam covering tree biology, pruning standards, and hazard assessment, and has to keep up continuing education to hold onto it. We want to be straight about this: Tree Service Encinitas does not hold this certification, because we are a referral service and nobody here is climbing your palm tree. Ask whoever comes out to your property whether they are ISA certified or have one on staff. Plenty of solid tree workers do not hold it, but it is a fair question, and how confidently someone answers tells you something.

What We Don't Do

We do not climb trees, run equipment, or grind stumps, and we do not lean on a homeowner to say yes to a bigger job than the tree actually needs. If a limb looks worse than it is, the crew we send should say so. Our part starts and ends with the introduction. After that first call, you are dealing directly with the people doing the physical work, and any question about price, timeline, or scope goes straight to them.
